Get Paid $.75/hour to Surf the Web

After getting your free iPod you will probably want some money for accessories, right? Well, Surf Junky (that's my referral link, using it helps me) pays you money to surf the web. I have been playing around with it, it seems pretty simple: you surf some sites and Surf Junky sends you a check (or PayPals you) in less then 30 days after you have made $25. I have just signed-up, I do not know if they actually are legit though (I have been getting reports that they are) Here is how it works:

1. You sign-up here.

2. You start surfing the web in the special framed browser window Surf Junky opens up, at first you get paid $.45 per hour then it moves gradually up to $.75/hour. The framed window Surf Junky opens-up automatically changes the website every 30 seconds, this is how Surf Junky gets the money that they give you: advertisers pay them to move traffic their way. Sometimes the window moves itself to the front of your screen (in front of whatever else you were doing), there are instructions for getting around that here (I do not know if those instructions brake the rules of Junky Surf). Mostly you can just do normal stuff while surfing with Surf Junky, you don't have to keep the Surf Junky browser on top.

3. This step is optional: you can refer friends to Surf Junky using your referral link. You get 5 percent of what your friends make added to your account (only if your friends sign-up using your link, of course). You also get 3 percent of what your friend's referrals make and you even get 1 percent of what your friend's referral's referral's make! Also, it is worth mentioning that while you get percentages of what your referrals make your referrals do not take a percent deduction in their earnings.

3. This step requirers that this site is legit: wait 30 days for your check to come.

the question is if the website is legit or not. i asked them this question several times and they never answered!
by the way, maybe you are interested in more traffic to your website. if this is the case here are two ways of getting more traffic to your website:
1- http://www.advertiserpro.com2- http://www.trafficswarm.com

I believe that legit traffic comes from posting useful info (like we find here) and spreading the word (friends and family) My son sent me the link to this blog...he found it by "next blog>>" I cruise the blogs also, looking for interesting features and cool ad-ons/templates. And sometimes I post comments to let people know that they are not invisible on the Internet.

Surf Junky, I hate to break it to you, is a scam. They ban users and never pay out to their members. If you guys want to try a legit paid-to-surf site, check out this one, which actually *pays* it's members.

they've been canceling any accounts that seem to be approaching the $25 minimum, accusing users of cheating. nobody has heard of anyone earning money from Surf Junky as of yet, only canceled accounts and money gone from their PayPal accounts. since people wanted to make their lives easier, they used the same username and password for PayPal and Surf Junky, hence the missing money.

I have to agree with the last comment ....surf junky must be a scam for they no longer allow me to log-in and after I e-mailed them for answers they never replied!!...so I stopped promoting their site. I do like Studio Traffic and I also like this pay to search site... Netbux.org check them out if you get a chance!

Surf Junky is indeed a scam. I ignored people saying it was a scam and signed up anyway. They never blocked me from logging in or deleted my account. But I had lots of referrals and reached about $80 and hadn't yet been paid. I contacted them multiple times over a 1-2 month period and recieved no response. They would answer my other questions but when it came to questions about payment, they ignored me. They also do not allow you to post your referral links on mesage boards, another sign it's a scam. Don't waste your time with this one.

So has anyone ever been paid to use surf junky? Something needs to be done to stop them from scamming people. I signed up but it hasn't been a month yet. I was a little leary about it from the start but figured it didn't cost anything so why not try.
